How do navigations systems (gps) work in dubai if there are no streetnames?

  • I am thinking of buying the Garmin 710 or 5000 but have no idea if that would help me, since the streets have no names in Dubai :-( and every day there are different ones closed due to construction....


  • There are street names, area names and even plot numbers; but I agree about changed routes and closed roads, closed roads will not be on the system and for changed routes you will just have to update it whenever an update is available.


  • there are street names and area names in Dubai you can buy and try garmin may be it will help you and reveal the results thru yahoo answers for all of us.
