Any one planning to vesit sierra leone?

As a police oficer in sierra leone, i will like welcoming foreings visitors in my country any one wich to pay a visit yo are welcome.

I am not planning to travel to Sierra Leone, but I wanted to say I was pleased to read your war is over and that it is somewhat safer now to travel to your country.

I worked in Sierra Leone in 1999 during the war. It is an incredible place. Make sure you go to River #2 - one of the most beautiful places I've been. In Freetown there are plenty of places to visit as well. For food, Crown Bakery was good and so was Paddy's (similar to the bar in Blood Diamond which was filmed in South Africa). Also on the beach there are some good places to eat and drink. I loved it there, but I did have a bodyguard and driver.

I hear its not as bad as it once was. I loved the movie Blood Diamond and if what they filmed really took place there or at least looks familiar then you come from a wonderful country which i would love to visit one day.
