Can you bath a rabbit and how?

Escrito el 9 de January del 2009 por smith.
  • Why would you want to bathe a rabbit?...they do that themselves

  • like totally dude. but make sure it doesn't get in the nose or ears this could be fatal

  • I have rabbits at home. You have to get rabbit shampoo and you wash the rabbit's fur all around except the face. You can wash the rabbit in a bath tub or a sink. Make sure you use luke warm water. Make sure you dry the rabbit completely before putting it back in the cage. You can use a hair dryer on low. Give the rabbit short breaks so that it doesn't get overheated. You shouldn't wash them unless they smell really bad because you take the natural oils out of their skin. You shouldn't wash them more than once a month.

  • i don't bath my bunny and hes three years old. just brush him and let him bath himself. oh yeah did i mention rabbits dont like getting wet. trust me.

  • No, you cannot but you can use a pressure hose to get thick pieces of dirt out of its coarse mane

  • Well, rabbits bathe themselves so you really don't need to bathe your rabbit. But if necessary you can bathe your rabbit in a large sink or in a bathtub with lukewarm water and you can buy shampoo at your local pet supply store but make sure to not wash them around their face. Also like most mammals you have to comfort your animal and bath them gently so he/she doesn't get scared and become afraid of baths also follow the bath with a treat like a carrot or a piece of lettuce to make them feel calm and this way they have something to look forward to after the bath.
