referral bonus (KLM/Nortwest)?

  • Six people I know will fly KLM/Northwest next week over Atlantic to US and back to Europe. None of them doesn’t participate in any frequent flyer program. All of them have European addresses. I know that KLM has member get a member promotion, but I didn’t get any enrollment forms from KLM, although I asked.
    Is anyone aware about other airlines (Alitalia, Braathens, Continental, whatever)having similar current promotions were I can get bonus miles (or benefit other ways) while referring new members who will soon fly first time KLM/ Northwest?

  • sorry, I confirmed and this CO promotions offers only 5000 bonus miles ( not 10 000)per new member. So 50 000 bonus miles is max what can be earned.

    I received those enrollment forms in the beginning of year. I will get 5000 bonus miles once my enrollee flies one transatlantic rt flight FROM EUROPE TO USA AND BACK on CO (operated or code share) by 31 dec 2001. new member will also earn 5000 bonus miles. This bonus can be earned max 10 times (50 000 bonus miles for 10 new members). so theoretically everyone gets some miles and all live happily ever after. but so far I have been completely useless in finding qualifying enrollees to Onepass.

    Maybe there is someone who didnt get those forms but who can (and wants) to introduce me to 6...10 folks who want to enroll to Onepass and who will fly CO over Atlantic FROM EUROPE to US before end of the year? I am glad to give one from earned free tickets to her/him (awards within Europe start from 15000...25000 miles).
    Hope such theoretical deal isn't against Onepass rules.

    Are you currently a Flying Dutchman member? Or was that member get a member offer only valid for already members? The KLM memberg get a member is actually really nice. Get 5 new members and get 50000 points which is enough for a trip from Stockholm to Philadelphia for instance.


  • Yes, I am registered Flying Dutchman member (common sense said it may be somehow useful), but I haven't still flown with KLM or their partners. Thats probably the reason why KLM wasn't too gentle to me when I called in few months ago and wanted to participate in member get a member promotion (they said: nope, we don't have those forms any more, all sent out, sry).
    But this IS a great promotion! Miles for nothing. Aarrgh!!
    I have ten Onepass member-get-a-member forms (100 000 bonus miles for ten new members who fly CO within 2001), but all my clients/friends/associates heading to Americas prefer to fly SAS or Lufthansa or KLM or British (KL and BA have really great fares from Finland to USA right now).
    By the way - Kempis, have you received that envelope I sent you?

    I have helped 7 people fly CO this year.. how do you do this?
